Boil Water Notice and Water Service Interruption
Earlier today, we experienced an unexpected main water line break, which has necessitated the temporary interruption of your water service. Our dedicated team is working diligently to address the issue and restore water supply as quickly as possible.
While we understand the inconvenience that this situation may cause, we want to ensure the safety of all our customers. Therefore, it is necessary for us to issue a Boil Water Notice as a precautionary measure. During this period, we advise all residents to boil their tap water before consumption, including drinking, cooking, and any other activities that involve the use of water. Boiling your water will help eliminate any potential contaminants and ensure that it is safe for consumption. We will reissue a letter when the boil water advisory has been lifted. We need to send water samples to a laboratory for testing. It's important to note that the water has not been unsafe at any time. However, as per the regulations of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), we are required to issue a boil water advisory until testing is complete, an estimated 24-48 hours. This precaution is necessary due to a mainline break that temporarily disrupted water service in specific areas of the water system.
Please follow these guidelines for boiling water
- Bring water to a rolling boil and maintain it for at least one minute.
- Allow the water to cool before using it for drinking, cooking, or any other purpose.
- You can also use bottled water as an alternative.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this situation. We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you that we are doing everything we can to restore your water service to normal as quickly as possible. You can reach Customer Service at 940-440-9561 or via email.
Sincerely,
