Identity theft or fraud can happen to anyone, anywhere. Some crimes are committed in person via a lost or stolen purse or wallet, but more frequently, identity theft or fraud happens online.
Reporting Identity Theft
If you have experienced identity theft, you can file a report with the Gunter Police Department. Here's how:
Include any proof you have that you have experienced identity theft. Proof could be a credit report from all three bureaus or a letter from the IRS or a collection agency
Bring it to the Gunter Police Department and give it to the duty officer, and we will create a report
We will investigate
Either we will find the perpetrator or close the case
