Recreational Opportunities for Residents

The Gunter Parks Department is a catalyst for the community to create a sense of place and enjoyment. We aim for the enrichment of all community residents through active, memorable experiences.

Golf

The Bridges Golf Club serves the City of Gunter. It has an 18-hole par-72 Signature Golf Course designed by Masters Champion Fred Couples. The course is 7,600 yards long with five sets of tees. It includes extensive practice range facilities and a luxurious clubhouse.

Gunter Parks Foundation

The Gunter Parks Foundation is dedicated to preserving, protecting, enhancing, and promoting our city park. Its purpose is to acquire financial resources through contributions to make park improvements so the community can play, gather, celebrate, and learn.

Schools and Sports

The community is ideally located in the highly desirable Gunter Independent School District (GISD), which received an exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency (the highest performance rating available).

The Gunter Youth Association (GYA) provides organized athletic programs for youth in the Gunter area that include basketball, football, volleyball, and more.
